South Loop high-rise electrical is its own discipline. You're working inside a steel-framed, concrete-slab building with closed-ceiling plenums, fire-rated assemblies, and shared common electrical systems. Running new circuits inside a unit means working within the unit's existing panel space, keeping the wall-penetration count low, and respecting the building's fire-rated chases. Every project requires coordination with the building engineer, the HOA or property management company, and usually a building-wide electrical assessment for anything that touches common feeders.

EV charger installation in shared parking garages is the biggest growth area. Every install requires: HOA approval, a load study on the building service, often a load-sharing charger when the feeder is tight, a new meter socket for separate billing, and a commercial permit filed for the common-area work.
